PakFilm produces politically and socially engaged cinema in an international context. Founded by award-winning producer Farzad Pak and based in Hamburg, the company develops feature films and documentaries in close collaboration with international partners.

PakFilm’s films have premiered and been awarded at major international festivals, including the Berlin International Film Festival (Golden Bear, 2020; My Stolen Planet, Panorama Audience Award 2024), International Film Festival Rotterdam (Big Screen Award, 2023), Berlinale Generation 14plus (Crystal Bear, 2023), Göteborg Film Festival (Ingmar Bergman International Debut Award, 2024), among others. Recent work includes ROYA (2026), written & directed by Mahnaz Mohammadi.

The company develops director-driven films with a strong political and social focus in close collaboration with international partners.
